Our Generation Is Misunderstood

Our generation is misunderstood.
Our future doesn’t feel so clear cut anymore.
We are making different decisions than the ones our parents are grandparents made.
The outdated one-size-fits-all approach is something that doesn’t apply to us.
The white picket fence, husband and wife hand in hand, a dog and money, is not all that we strive for.
This dream was handed down to us, and if choose our own road, we are ridiculed and deemed lazy.
We value self-expression, uniqueness, and independence.
We value passion and finding our authentic self over choosing a career that only makes us money.
We are defining how we live our dream in a different order and with a different style.
We are basking in what makes us different from one another, and appreciating all of our diverse traits and strengths.
When you stop setting harsh expectations for yourself life becomes a lot less stressful and more enjoyable.
Stay on the path to finding your own kind of happiness.
Keep exploring what you love.
Stop saying sorry when your square self doesn’t fit into that round hole carved out for you.
Live the life you want, and don’t apologize for it.
