I met a guy on Tinder and we hit it off straight away. He was caring, compassionate, and we had a lot of laughs. He met my friends and we started spending a bunch of time together. We dated for about 2 months before having a conversation about what we both really wanted from life. He quite openly told me that he didn't believe in love or marriage. He didn't plan on settling down or having children. He also explained that he had no real connection to his own family. He was a wandering soul. I am a total romantic, and when I heard this it was like someone had stabbed me in the back. I mean, how can you not believe in love?! We ended up becoming great friends, but there's no way I could be with someone with those values.
